Hello budding guitarists welcome to Guitar Lessons Clapham South.

My name is Paul Rooney have been teaching guitar for over 15 years and have a proven track record of taking people from basics to band level.

I teach Acoustic, and Electric guitar and will show you the basics from how to tune your guitar right up to playing rhythm and lead guitar in a band.

I offer guitar lessons to total beginners, intermediate level and to people of all ages in a friendly, comfortable manner. The emphasis will be on practical playing – no music reading necessary. I prefer to teach your favourite songs rather than boring formulas or scale theory.

Rock, Pop, Indie, and Blues guitar styles are the main topics I teach. If you would like to learn lead guitar techniques, no problem! Fingerpicking and many rhythm and strumming styles also covered.

Your guitar lesson is tailored to your individual needs, you will learn to play confidently and enjoyably in a relaxed environment.

Lessons are conducted at my music room in Clapham South. I am located very close to Clapham South Underground Station (just 2 minutes’ walk) and am only 10 mins walk from Balham Underground Station, Balham overground rail and a short journey by train from Clapham Junction.

I have been playing electric and acoustic guitar for over 20 years. For the last 15 years teaching private individuals in South London and several of my pupils have become successful in the music industry including bands The Maccabees and members of The Kooks.

I studied guitar at Guitar Academy Of Music in London and passed with flying colours.
